Ain't no ant trail: That's an indication that the inflammation or infection got past the defenses in your arm and will end up at the next level of defenses in your armpit lymph nodes. No, it won't travel directly to your heart but you could be in a world of hurt if you don't see a doctor NOW.

See doctor.: See a doctor ASAP. Lymphangitis indicates infection. A doctor needs to look at the bite and probably prescribe antibiotics. Brown recluse spider bites can be very serious, if that is what it was.
