Possible sinusitis: A viral upper respiratory infection can be a predecessor to an acute sinus infection. Sinusitis generally presents with facial pain, upper dental pain, anterior or posterior discolored nasal drainage, and often sore throat. Band like headaches over the forehead and temples are more likely due to muscle tension.
