Thyroid function: Hi. The TSH and free T4 are all you need to know your thyroid function is normal. If they are normal, it just means your symptoms are not due to hypothyroidism. No symptom is specific for any condition. Good luck!

Thyroid tests: Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) is the best measure of whole-body thyroid status. There are specific tests for free thyroid hormones (T3, T4), but they fluctuate and are not used on their own for thyroid monitoring. Thyroid antibody tests are sometimes ordered when you are first identified as having a thyroid problem, but not for monitoring. Fatigue from low thyroid has many other causes.
