Irritation symptoms: Sensitivity to condoms is determined by symptoms in the area where the condom came in contact. So if there is redness, itching, irritation soreness at the place where the condom came in contact with you skin, then you may have a sensitivity. Condoms made with latex are the most likely ones to cause problems. Trying other brands may be helpful.

Only by elimination: When women are allergic to condoms, it is usually a latex sensitivity. The symptoms are usually redness, irritation, inflammation. I recommend buying some latex free condoms and trying out different types to see if you get the same reaction. Be sure that none of your condoms contain spermicide. Nonoxynol-9 can cause similar symptoms and even infections.

Itching&burning after: Will start happening every time, soon after use. Itch, burning, swelling; gets to the point where you can't stand using them. Will need to consider alternatives, and these not always as effective for STD (and pregnancy) protection. See primary provider or gynecologist.
