Virus/Endometriosis: She could have acquired a stomach virus and this would probably be self limited. On the other hand, we have to think endometriosis, (when tissue normally found inside the uterus grows in other parts of the body). Pain just before, during, or after menstruation is the most common symptom. If the symptoms persist, or if they become recurrent, please have her evaluated by a gynecologist.
