Yes: You need to be evaluated by foot and ankle surgeon. You need MRI. Depending on findings, it is possible to be treated as advanced techniques available.

May be related to ne: last year you broke your ankle.numbness of foot may be related to nerve injury.you should have neurological evaluation & further testing like MRI,emg, nerve conduction studies.Depending on cause further treatment can be given as extensive physical & occupational therapy.Usually nerve damage for long time is irreversible.

Ask your surgeon, or: If your surgeon doesn't think it can be repaired, don't be afraid to ask for a second opinion. Also, was it numb since the surgery or just lately? If lately, you can have a Morton's Neuroma in your foot that causes tingling and pain and can certainly be treated. (It's a painful bundle of nerves.)
