Here are some ...: Theoretically, you shouldn't conceive under the described scenario. But, known to most if not all, sex abstinence is the only means to reach 100% success; all available contraceptive measures have failed short of perfection. So, always be watchful as long as being within the game of love life, do HPT soon after missing the expected period, and repeat it in 1 wk if the 1st is (-) & still in doubt.

Yes: There is always a chance for pregnancy when you have unprotected sex. Although the likelihood is low, it is not a good method of birth control.

Some: using the rhythm method lowers risk of pregnancy some, but not a lot. ovulation can be pretty variable and sperm can live for a couple days at least. also, this is no protection against STD's.
