Pros and con's to a career in dentisty over medicine and vice versa :)?

Go with medicine: Quik answers from woman brain surgeon: few emergencies with dentistry, more with medicine, more diversity in medicine and greater chance to find your niche. Dentistry is physical, lots of hand use. My dentist seems happy although his jokes are stale! Hope this helps! Here's a book I wrote years ago to help woman. Check it out at your library.

Neither: A PhD in psychology, especially neuropsychological testing is the best choice. At least if you are sorry for your choice you will be able to cope better! No germs, too.

Both are rewarding: It really depends on what interests you the most. Dentistry (and the specialties) so far have not really been influenced by managed care, but that may change by the time you graduate years from now. Many physicians are now becoming employees of large hospitals as their practices are being bought up. Research your choices and study hard... both fields are competitive.
