Yes: There is abundant evidence that anxiety can lead to vertigo. Furthermore, vertigo can lead to anxiety and they can occur together. The neuro-anatomical pathways for vertigo, depression and anxiety travel similar pathways in the brain stem, mid brain and higher centers of the brain. These concepts have a very extensive objective evidence in the ENT and neurological literature.

Although not usually: the actual cause of vertigo - anxiety & panic can certainly exacerbate vertigo. Dizziness and lightheadedness can occur with panic attacks.

Feel vs Real: W/ Anxiety, you may 'feel' dizzy w/o a physical cause. If it resolves completely and comes back when you're doing a similar thing, it's likely anxiety. If it lasts, goes up or has other symptoms - see a provider for a neurology referral. Also, consider CBT therapy for skills in avoiding, reducing, managing anxiety - it's effective w/o side effects, w/drawal, etc. Best!
