A member asked:

We were in contact with a boy with rashes vomiting (gastrointestinal virus) most likely. i'm 26 weeks pregnant and have young kids. dangerous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: The "danger" of a viral gastroenteritis is dehydration. If you do develop nausea, vomiting or diarrhea then you need to be sure you stay hydrated. If you are unable to do that adequately then see a doctor or urgent care for possible prescription and/or i.v. fluids
