Cell Type: Plasma cells are a specific type of white blood cell and can be normal or abnormal depending upon the context. Blast cells are an immature cell found in the bone marrow whcih under normal circumstances lead to the production of cellular components of blood (WBC, plateltes, RBC). In leukemias that is a break in the maturation process of these cells leading to an accumulation of "blast Cells".
