Menstrual period : It is not unusual for your cycle to be out of whack when the pills are not taken as prescribed. It should work itself out within the next week or two. If you have trouble remembering to take the pill every day consider other birth control methods, such as the IUD, Depoprovera, or implanted hormone release mechanisms. Skipping pills may result in pregnancy.
