Use barrier methods: If you stop your oral contraceptive on day 5, you are not protected from pregnancy and should use barrier contraception/condoms. There are many contraceptive options, you should make a follow up appt with your healthcare provider to discuss.

Contraception: When used properly and provided that there is absolutely no any leakage of sperm you should be protected. The sperm can leak if the condom ruptures or if it comes off during the intercourse and the sperm leaks into your body
