Medication length: Zoloft (sertraline) takes several weeks to have an effect and the initial week of taking it symptoms such as your insomnia, or increased anxiety/slight worsening of depression can occur. This is temporary and gets better after being on it for time. Discuss with your doctor alternatives to help you get through the startup phase of the medication.
