Depends: firstly the etiology of the anemia has to be identified. If it is due to heavy menstrual flow, gynecological evaluation and Iron supplements are usually indicated. Any other cause must be evaluated and treated appropriately.

It is possible that you are losing blood too fast and your body didn't get a chance yet to reflect the change in iron which takes time.
