Get medical assist.: Lots of possibilities here. Cardiac concerns are less likely (but not impossible) considering age. Acid reflux/gastritis/esophagitis are possible depending on diet. If there is a respiratory component, bronchospasm and costochondritis (painful chest wall) can also occur after pronounced coughing. Pneumonia can cause painful breathing, as can pleurisy. Please seek medical attention + exam to heal.

Costochondritis: Inflammation of Chest bone when it comes in contact with Ribs. With chest movement with each breath. Try applying OTC anti-inflammatory ointment like Ben Gay or Tiger Balm. Do not worry. It is not coming from your heart. If you have fever. then make sure you are not suffering from Pneumonia
