Unhealing boil: Boils can take a few weeks to heal even with antibiotics which I see you are on. These items affect healing of the boil: location on the body, type of germ and your general health. Keep the area as clean as possible and have the boil checked regularly by the doctor who prescribed the antibiotics.

May be diabetic: Many people with recurrent boils that are not healing have to be checked for diabetes. Diabetics are subject to developing infections that slowly heal as a result of uncontrolled blood sugar. You need to see your doctor to have your blood sugar checked if not already done. Other signs that you may be diabetic is if you are urinating a lot or you are thirsty all the time.

See below: One reason is that most boils are associated with cysts that originate from plugged ducts in the skin that get infected. So even if the infection is controlled you can still have the cystic material behind. The other reason that I can think of is bacterial resistance to the antibiotic. A culture might be beneficial.

Don't squeeze: Above all do not squeeze the boil and if you have not already done so check in at urgent care to drain it.
