"skipped period": At 23, missing a period is generally because of stress or a strenuous exercise program, or pregnancy. If you "checked", and it was a urine test, obtain a serum test from your healthcare professional: much more accurate. If negative, consult an OB/GYN if your usual cycles are 30- 45 day apart, but if longer and this is not "normal" for you, see a healthcare professional for advice and tests.
