Proper nutrition: Valves are lined by cells which make up the endothelium. There is mounting evidence that a diet with large amounts of vegetables and fruits may help repair endothelial damage. If you have any varicose veins, skin changes and/or ulcers associated with venous valvular damage, there are surgical procedures that may be tried. The operations are demanding and may not always give desired outcomes.

No: ultrasound will determine if your valves are damaged...not all clots lead to damaged valves

Dvt: There are procedures to do that but they should be performed when there is severe valve damage with associated symptoms. First you should be evaluated to determine if in fact you do have valve dysfunction.this can be evaluated by venous Doppler ultrasound. Second if you are having symptoms then compression hose would be helpful. Not all people who had dvt develop valve problems.
