Normal for Mirena (levonorgestrel): It it normal for patients using Mirena (levonorgestrel) to note significant decrease in mentrual bleeding, sometimes with no periods at all. This is felt to be an advantage of this particular IUD, especially since it reduces the bleeding without effecting your hormones like the pill to the shot.
