I think i have bv. i'm 16 years old and i am very afraid of going to a gynecologist. are there alternatives for testing for bv ? i do not want a swab

Please: Get over your fears and be seen. It's not that big a deal. If you have an infection that remains untreated you risk pelvic inflammatory disease, chronic pelvic pain and infertility. That should be more concerning to you than a little swab. Discuss your fears with your Dr. at your appointment. They can get you through it.
