Not to worry: Old blood can give this type of odor. At times, blood may remain at the upper part of the vagina near the cervix and may not have fully cleared, some motion or shifting, may cause it to clear and you may notice an odor at that time. Certain infections can produce foul odors, but the odor wouldn't stop in one day without any treatment, it would continue. I wish you well.
