See your doctor: It can be normal to have dysfunctional cycles as one gets closer to the age where might be entering menopause but important to get other important and potentially conditions excluded first with a doctor assessment (ideally a pelvic exam too) - pregnancy may be possible, plus other endometrial (womb) issues, plus if you're not up to date with a smear test this needs to be considered

Period: periods can fluctuate in duration. make sure your smears are all done and normal, you don't have intermittent PV bleed and there is no bleeding on intercourse. Ruling out foul smelling PV discharge important. FU with your GP for review. Reg is unlikely but if you are missing a period then surely a pregnancy test will be important.
