Color blindness: Color blindness is due to a change in the color spectrum of the light receptors in the retina. Depending upon which one is changed, you may confuse red v. Green or blue v. Yellow. Sometimes the deficiency is complete but more common a partial loss. Testing using color plates or coding caps can tell you which type and the degree you have.

Color blindness: The type of color blindness is determined by which cones are deficient. Thus by testing your eyes with a color perception test you will know where your deficiencies lie.
