Varies on etiology: The course of Meniere disease varies among individuals & depends on etiology. The causes are idiopathic, infectious, autoimmune and genetic. Hearing loss initially affects the lower frequencies, usually fluctuate, progress overtime, & often results in permanent hearing loss at all frequencies in the affected ear over an 8 to 10 year period
