Speak with OB/GYN: Honestly, your question is best answered by your OB/GYN physician. Please accept my apologies but I hope your pregnancy goes well.

Other factors : Has your ob been checking you blood for HCG levels? This also provides helpful info. I will be honest with you. Normally what we call a fetal pole is seen within the sac by this time. That they do not see one is not a good sign. If your HCG levels are not rising as they should that is also not a good sign. Sorry I could not give you happier news. Best of luck

Follow up with Doc: During early pregnancy a viable fetus & an associated empty sac means few things. The course is hard to predict & needs close follow up with repeat US & monitoring of pregnancy hormones level. You should monitor for any new symptoms including vaginal bleeding & follow up with your Doc regularly. If everything remains satisfactory then most of these sac reabsorbed by its own with normal pregnancy
