Variety of reasons: The good news is, you're not pregnant. Pregnancy after tubes being tied are often ectopic pregnancies... There are a variety of reasons for painful menstrual cramps. Some are just normal variance, and some reasons are more concerning like endometriosis, fibroids, and even ovarian cysts. I would recommend ibuprofen and rest. If this happens again, I would make an appointment with your GYN.
