Cramps?: Please clarify what you mean by "food poisoning" during your menstrual period. Is it cramps? I'll assume that. If so, you may ask your doctor for Anaprox (naproxen) or Naprosyn prescription that you can take a few days before and during your period to decrease the levels of a chemical in your body (prostaglandins) that cause these horrible cramps.

"Food poisoning": Is food poisoning mean severe abdominal cramps with nausea or diarrhea? I would follow up with a gyn. This could be a sign of endometriosis and not food poisoning.
