Food poisoning: Why do you think it's food poisoning? If it's happening more than once and always associated with your menstrual cycle is is very unlikely to be food poisoning. Is your DM1 under control?

Am I a diabetic?: There is not the correct information to determine if you're diabetic or not. Your symptoms do not fit a diabetic pattern.

Cramps?: Please clarify what you mean by "food poisoning" during your menstrual period. Is it cramps? I'll assume that. If so, you may ask your doctor for Anaprox (naproxen) or Naprosyn prescription that you can take a few days before and during your period to decrease the levels of a chemical in your body (prostaglandins) that cause these horrible cramps.

"Food poisoning": Is food poisoning mean severe abdominal cramps with nausea or diarrhea? I would follow up with a gyn. This could be a sign of endometriosis and not food poisoning.
