Could be normal: Loose stools are common around the second week of life, when the the intestinal flora is getting balanced in the baby. Stools begin to smell more at that time. This could all be normal. If you are breast feeding, stool will be more yellowish and liquid with small curds, and some parents may confuse this consistency with diarrhea. If the baby is not fussy (colic) & urinating well don't worry.
