Meningitis is rare: Genital herpes virus can rarely spread to the blood then brain causing herpes meningitis. Herpes may also cause urethra irritation causing bladder obstruction (thereby temporarily needing a 'bladder catheter'). Overall: the most important issue with having genital sores: it increases your risk of transmitting or contracting other sexually transmitted infections, including the aids virus.Be careful.
