Multiple causes: There is a broad differential depending on the rest of the clinical history and exam. From general viral vs bacterial infections to trauma to somatization. Consider seeing your GP as soon as possible for further evaluation and possible treatment or an ER if your sx acutely worsen. Some severe infections in your age group such as meningitis can be life threatening. Dont ignore your symptoms.
