Throbbing pain that starts in right ear- radiates to front/back right sided head- intense but comes and goes. what is it- any cause for concern?

Trigeminal Neuralgia: Could be several things from ear infection, tonsillitis, atypical migraine, Trigeminal neuralgia. Need to see health care provider for eval. Best of luck. Dr R

See Your Doctor: Ear pain can result from a problem either in the ear itself or from elsewhere in the upper respiratory tract. Infection &/or fluid within the ear is common following head colds. Sinus tract infection can cause ear & head pain. These are treatable conditions however diagnosis is difficult without visual inspection. Infections require antibiotics. See your doctor for correct diagnosis and treatment.
