Is amitriptyline 25 mg time released and does it change the side effects if cut in half?

No and maybe: Amitriptyline is an older tricyclic medication used for major depression and some types of nerve pain. It is not timed release. Cutting a medication in half can have unpredictable effects and should only be done in consultation with your physician.
