Watch closely: By using CDC Growth Charts for term infants and plotting the two measurements according to age, growth is slow and concerning. Premature infants are often at the lower percentiles for growth, but eventually catch up and a different chart is used. Head growth and neurologic development needs to be followed very closely.

Low: Both of those measurements are in the very low percentiles. Your pediatrician should be following your baby's growth

Speak to baby's doc: That is a rapid rate of growth in 3 months. The usual rate is 1 cm per month for the first 6 months. Was your baby small for gestational age? This condition can be associated with rapid "catch up growth" In some cases, familial macrocephaly accounts. Speak to your pediatrician and ask to see the head circumference chart, so you can understand what is happening.
