Penicillin half-life: The 'half-life' of a medicine is how long it will stay in the system. Penicillin has a very short half-life. If a medicine is prescribed 4x a day, ideally u take it every 6 hours, since the clearance of the medicine out of ur system will occur by then & it needs to be redosed. The way you've outlined it is 'wrong' since u don't get any medicine overnight. Try another schedule as close to every 6hr
