Not likely: While smoking increases your chances for lung cancer, there are also other factors at play. Smoking for 6 months is not a major risk factor, especially if you stop now.

Eventually: The linkage of cigarette smoking & lung cancer is well known but not a fast process. Stop now and the toxic debris in your lungs will be cleaned out by the bodies self maintenance in a few months & there would be no real problem.Continue and you will eventually reach a point that the risk factors accumulate against you.It might take 3 decades to show up but it's a horrible way to live/die.
