Musculoskeletal: It could be a sprain/strain of the lower back or possibly a kidney stone. Kidney stone pain is usually in the flank (side) and radiates into the pelvis. You may not have any urinary symptoms. Musculoskeletal pain usually gets worse with movement or palpation (pressing on) the area.
