Reglan (metoclopramide): Hi, Why are you taking Reglan (metoclopramide) for? Is it for nausea or the stomach motility issue or GERD? If that's for Motility issue or GERD you should take it before meal, otherwise you can take it whenever necessary for nausea/vomiting.

You can: Yes you can and this may increase stomach and bowel motility, esp in case of gastroparesis (slow emptying of stomach) or bowel motility disorder. However, take this under direction and supervision of your doc. Be well!

Less effective: Reglan (metoclopramide) is usually taken 30 minutes prior to meals. It increases the rate that your stomach empties its contents. It is also frequently prescribed at bedtime. It won't hurt you if you take it after you eat but you may miss out on some of the benefits of the medication.
