Preg test: best to use first morning urine and if neg, repeat again in a week to 10 days. If both neg, very unlikely you are pregnant. Hope this helps. Best of luck Dr R

Not necessarily: No test is foolproof, over the counter or when done by a lab. It depends on the test, the timing of the test, and whether you follow the instructions. For best results, wait until your period is a week late & follow the instructions exactly. If it is still negative & you have not had a period, see your doctor. Anytime the possibility of pregnancy exists avoid alcohol, medications, drugs, nicotine

Have you missed a: period yet? How many days after missed period did you take the pregnancy test? Pregnancy tests are very accurate - if used at appropriate time.

Yes, if urine dk yel: You may not be pregnant, or the level of pregnancy hormone may not yet be high enough to be detected, or you may have miscalculated the day your period was due. If you tested early, test again when your period is due. If your period is overdue, test again in 3 days time. If this test gives you a ’Not Pregnant’ result and you still have not had your period, see your doctor.
