Depends: You can wait 2 weeks and take a home pregnancy test if your period does not come on time. Irregular bleeding must be examined if there is pain or discharge. If you are trying to get pregnant, be sure you are healthy (discuss your nutrition and immunization status with your physician).

Well...: You wouldn't be spotting due to pregnancy if last night was the first time you had sex since your last period. However, since your period is now late - do recommend that you go ahead and take a pregnancy test (to cover sex previous to this).
