Breakthrough: Sounds as if there is some instability in your uterine lining that's causing bleeding before your period and then bleeding afterward, Typically controlled by estrogen and progesterone, the 2 hormones made by your ovaries. You can try some ibuprofen (600-800mg) to help with cramping. In order to regulate your cycle, may want to consider birth control pills. Hope that helps!

Part of period: This bleeding brown and red is the part of period , it may last only for a day or so only . If it persist then consult your G.Y.N.doctor.
