Difficult to say: Dry cough may come from allergies, throat problems, Rib problems (that may send pain to the arm/elbow), or "rebound" from your medications. Take your medications as prescribed, try sipping water to relieve your symptoms, try sweetened liquids too, and proceed to getting an examination if no results. Consult with your physician or pharmacist if allergies are possible.
