Ok: You had your Mirena (levonorgestrel) pulled and had bleeding shortly after. Then you had a "real" period end of July- wait it out, probably your body adjusting.

Bleeding/mirena iud: You had what we call a progesterone withdrawal bleed. Mirena (levonorgestrel) is impregnated with progesterone. Removing it caused the bleeding as the progesterone was removed from your system as well. Hopefully normal cycles return over next 3-4 mo. If not see your gyn provider. Hope this helps. Best of luck. DUB.: Minrea is a Progesterone IUD. So at this time your Ovaries were not producing Hormones in a Cyclical manner. It may take up to 3 cycles, i.e 3 months to have regular monthly period. so do not worry. If yo get heavy bleeding for many days a t a time or this irregularity persists beyond 3 months, you need to go to GYN.

Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD's: Removal of the Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD does not affect the onset of a period, but remember that IUD's do not prevent pregnancies outside the womb. The hormone incorporate in the Mirena (levonorgestrel) (progesterone) can also cause some menstrual irregulatities: to be certain, consult your health care professional for tests which can confirm the cause for the bleeding now occurring.
