GI Consult : Even if you have had medical treatment in the way of acid-reducing medicine or antacids, you need additional medical workup. A good place to start is with a gastroenterologist. You can expect to have X-Rays and at least an upper GI endoscopy where your stomach and esophagus are looked at directly.
