Withdrawal: Zanaflex (tizanidine) can cause withdrawal symptoms if stopped suddenly. Those symptoms can be high heart rate, high blood pressure, and muscle spasms. You should contact your doctor as soon as possible to get back on the medicine. If you want to quit it altogether, your doctor can prescribe a tapering dose. Hope this helps!

Call your doctor: or visit Urgent care. Zanaflex (tizanidine) is a drug that is used as a muscle relaxant by prescription, but it is not a controlled medication.

Stretching: Stretching the affected muscles ten times to a count of 10, 4x/d will help. Also increase water. Magnesium and potassium intake should help.
