A week: You have to give it at least a week. Keeps the new lesions for occurring, doesn't treat the lesions that are already there as well.

Variable: It seems to be very individual- can be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. Don't get discouraged if it seems to become worse before it gets better, that is not uncommon. Stick with it and you should see results that make you happy!
