Guesses: Over the computer it would be a guess, and most likely, even with a visual inspection, without a definitive history of you seeing the spider, it would be an educated guess. As described though, it sounds like a spider bite. Be sure to keep it clean and watch for signs of infection, like increased redness, streaks, warmth, purulent discharge, fevers, etc. Good luck.
