No: It's true that rebound hypertension can occur if clonidine is suddenly stopped. However, this dose is already very low and there really is no further tapering that can be done. Serious side effects from stopping this low dose are very unlikely.

Very small dose : Trust the doctor. That is a very low dose. Otherwise, get a real second opinion of a doctor who can examine your daughter.
