A member asked:

How can pinworm be resistant to mebendezanole?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Resistance unlikely: Mebendazole is the drug of choice for pinworm and is taken as single dose of 100 mg orally . It should work well for pinworm infection .Resistance to this drug is not known. Mebendazole dose may be repeated after 2 weeks or so, if needed. Consult your doctor if you feel you still have pinworms .
