HCG, not they don't : The first sign can be considered either amassed menstrual period, or some will call the first detectable hCG in blood the first sign. It doesn't make much difference, both mean implantation has started. Implantation bleeding is largely non-existent: it's a junk nonspecific term to refer to 1st trimester bleeding that isn't otherwise explained.

Implantation: There usually aren't any symptoms at time of implantation. Bleeding rarely occurs with implantation so it would not be a "predictor" of pregnancy.
